Hornets post double losses
Erin 4-0 over Schomberg

The Schomberg Cougars just couldn't get any breaks in their home game against the Erin Shamrocks on Thursday night at the Trisan Centre in Schomberg.
After playing a highly charged and fast game against the visitors , the Cougars had to settle for a 4-0 loss.
The first period saw a lot of back and forth action, from end to end, but by the time the final buzzer sounded, it was the Shamrocks who were leading with a single by Rob Mair.
Mair did it again in the second period to give the Erin squad a two-goal lead going into the final twenty minutes.
A third Erin goal in the final frame clinched the win. The Shamrocks picked up goal number four on an empty netter with just over a minute left on the clock.

The loss keeps the Cougars in the number two spot in the south division but tied with the Midland Flyers over all in the Georgian Mid Ontario League after 35 games.
Unless there is a big shakeup soon, it looks like the Cougars will be going up against the Penetang Kings in the first round of the playoffs.
The Cougars will be back on the ice tonght , Friday, January 13, on the road in Fergus.
Game time is 8:30 p.m.
They return to home ice on Thursday, January 19, to face the Caledon Golden Hawks.
The puck drop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
