Orangeville Junior B Northmen home opener
The Orangeville Junor B Northmen will have their home opener this week at Tony Rose Memorial Arena in Orangeville.
The first home game of the season will be against Owen Sound.
Game time is 8:00 p.m.

Local players selected in OHL draft
Three’s a Charm for Local Hockey Lads
This weekend’s 2011 OHL Priority Selection Draft proved that good luck comes in 3’s for several local minor hockey alumni. Of the 302 players selected in this year’s draft, Stephen Nosad, Tyler Smokler and Justin Maiolino were all chosen to move on to the next level of hockey by three well known OHL clubs. Bengals win game number 4 over Midland
The Orangeville Bengals won their home on Sunday May 15, with a 6-3 finish over the visiting Midland Indians for their
second win of the 2011 season.
The Orangeville squad led
from the early going and were
up 5-2 by the end of the
fourth inning.
With Nick Hodgson on the
mound for this game, the
Bengals played a solid defense to keep the Indians at bay allowing only one more run for the game

Salmon jumps back to Junior A
Hornets looking for new coach
Alliston Hornets head coach Randy Salmon has left the Hornets organization and joined up with the Huntsville Otters of the OJHL.
Salmon previously coached the Couchiching Terriers before joining the Hornets in 2010.
Hornets management have said they plan on hiring a new head coach within the next two weeks.

The Hornets had a stellar

Despite a solid effort, the TNT Express Bantam division team had to settle for a loss on Sunday when they were over-run by the Hamilton Steelers.
The TNT Express JV's won their second of the season with 37-8 victory over the Ajax Pickering Dolphins.
Tyler Kraly scored the first of his four touchdowns in the first quarter to put the Express on the
scoreboard and start a
game which saw the
Express turn on the
offence for the entire
game.

Bolton’s class of ’97 boys posted a stellar record in the Wild Water Kingdom Indoor League, first capturing the league title with 8 - 1 record, pouring in 27 goals for and allowing just 4 against - and then secured the playoff championship in an exciting penalty shoot-out victory over Etobicoke Green.

The Express did most of the damage in the first half scoring four TD's to pretty much end the game by the time they took the mid game break.
