BELLATOR 57 MMA CASINO RAMA NOVEMBER 12 2011

Bellator 57 brought its Mixed Mardhall Arts fight card to Rama on
November 12 2011. The main event was the welterweight tournamenet
final. It featured Ben Saunders (12-3-2) against Douglas Lima
(20-4).The first round saw Lima pick up and slam down Saunders who
managed to reverse things on the mat. The second round was lighting
fast when Lima fired a right hook on Saunders, sending him to the mat.
Lima was all over him, hammering his face. The ref called it and
helped up a dazed and confused Saunders. He never saw that coming.
The co main event of the night featured Alexander Shlemenko vs Vitor
Vivianna. All three judges scored it 30-27 for Shlemenko.
The over confident John Hawk(6-3) took on Roger Hollett (12-3) in a
light heavyweight bout. Hawk did very little in this fight, not
connecting very much. Hollett on the other hand went to work on Hawks
left leg. He continually kicked at in until welts appeared on it. Hawk
tried to reciprocate in the second when he had Hollett pinned up
against the cage. In the end, the refs scored it a split decision
29-28, 29-28 and 28-29 for Hollett.
Doug Evans took on Alexandre Bezerra. Evans dominated the match until
Bezerra got him down on the mat where he applied an inverted heel
hook to him. Evans snapped his own ankle and the fight was called with
a submission.
Also on the card was crowd favorite Chris Horodecki who got a majority
draw with Mike Corey.
