Stayner tops in Alliston tournament

The Stayner Siskins won 5-1 over the Port Perry Mojacs to win the 5th annual
Alliston Hornets pre-season tournament over the weekend.
The Siskins won 7-6 in overtime to beat Alliston and move on to the final
game.
Port Perry knocked out Penetang 5-4 to claim their spot in the final.

The Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C hockey league 2011/2012 season will
get underway this weekend.

Locally, the Schomberg Cougars will take on the Fergus Devils on Thusday,
Sept. 15, in Shomberg at the new arena.
Game time is 8:30 p.m.

The following night the Alliston Hornets will meet the Stayner Siskins
at the New Tec Rec Centre in Alliston for their opening night.
Game time is 7:30 p.m.
