The Erin Shamrocks managed a 9-7 win over the Schomberg Cougars during their Boxing Day battle at the Shamrocks' home barn on Monday, but an early lead evaporated after the Schomberg responded with five goals in the second period.
After taking an early lead on a goal by Schomberg's Jesse Rooyakkers in the first, the Shamrocks came back with three to end the frame.

Penetang challenges in the third period
The Alliston Hornets dominated in the first period of Sunday's game against the Penetang Kings at the New Tec Rec Centre in Alliston, but that didn't' mean the Kings had given up.
After playing to 3-1
